The number of balls bowled per over has fluctuated between 6 and 8 during the first 20 years of One Day Internationals. At times different the number of balls varied in different countries even in the same time period.
The table below shows the number of balls per over for each country at different times for those countries which have deviated from the standard 6 ball over.
