Comments: Wow!!!
As a single mum I often worry about the effect my bipolar I will have on my sons. It is good to know that someone else is thinking about that to. Loved your care plan information which I will use in my ICE (In Case of Emergency) file. Having spoken to medical professionals in the past about this issue I wonder if you have had any feed back by members of any good points of living with a parent with mental illness. For instance better coping skills, resillence, empathy etc.

Comments: Your organization is an inspiration! I am an adult child of a mother who suffers from depression. It is difficult to cope with as an adult, which lead me to think about how difficult it must be for children to cope. I have called around to hospitals, advocacy groups, and family services in my area and there seems to be little or no support offered to children who have a parent with mental illness. Again, your organization is an inspiration and I hope to be able to one day help develop a similar group on the states. Thank you!

Comments: I am currently studying a bachelor of social work in Brisbane and was wondering if there is a COMIC branch in QLD, specifically Brisbane? My mother has multiple personality disorder, and was diagnosed when i was young. I would like the opportunity to become involved with an organisastion like COMIC, because i know how hard and confusing growing up in a family with a parent with a mental illness can be. My mother's own story is one of triumph, and she now leads a rewarding life working in the human services field herself. Mental illness is real and can have devastating effects upon individuals and their families, but it can also open doors which lead to loving friendships, self-respect, courage and success. It's so true, sometimes you just have to laugh!

Comments: I am doing a mental health unit for my EN diploma course and have to reaserch 6 services. As a mother of 4 it was interesting to find your service and it would be benificial to a holistic nursing care plan. What an important service.

Comments: Great website guys. I have suffered with mental illness all my life. At one point I feared for my childrens safety but thankfully those days are behind me/us. I do hope that as my kids are still very young (1&3) they will forget my more dramatic outbursts. I along with support from a local doctor and my husband I have worked very hard to get better. When all seems to be lost and you want to dissapear please remember things do get better even if you can't imagine how. Thanks for the website guys ;)
